Vietnam reopens borders for international tourists from March 15, 2022

After a two- year border closure due to the pandemic, Vietnam reopens borders for international tourists from 15th March.

• Have either a negative Covid PCR test taken within 72 hours before departure or rapid test taken with 24 hours. COVID-19 tests must be administered and certified by competent health authorities. This requirement is applied for entering by air, land, rail and sea travel. Children under 2 years old are not required to take any Covid test and can join Vietnam tours with parents and relatives.
• Have medical or travel insurance that covers at least 10,000 USD for Covid- 19 treatment.
• Make a health declaration before entering and download the PC-Covid app during stay in Vietnam
During the tour, if travelers have any Covid symptoms ( including fever; cough; sore throat; runny nose; blocked nose; body aches, fatigue; decreased or lost taste; decreased or lost sense of smell; headache; diarrhea; shortness of breath; etc…) , they shall notify to medical staff for instruction.
Visa policy
• From 15th March 2022, Vietnam resumes 15day visa exemption for citizens of 13 countries, including Germany, France, Italy, Spain, United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, Russia, Japan, South Korea, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Belarus. This visa exemption policy will be valid for 3 years, starting March 15, 2022.
