MT5: Mekong Delta & Phu Quoc island 5 days

This is a relaxing trip, combining the exotic Mekong Delta with the tropical island of Phu Quoc. The Delta is one of the most breathtaking areas in the south of Vietnam- a traveller must-see. During this module, you'll sail lazily through the emerald delta before rounding off your journey with a few days on idyllic Phu Quoc Island. The locals will give you a friendly wave as you drift through the narrow waterways on your way to the sun bleached beach of Phu Quoc. You'll visit lively floating markets with huge assortments of colourful produce, and you'll anchor alongside an orchard for a short musical performance from the villagers. All the while, you'll weave slowly towards Phu Quoc, an amazing island certain to give you a taste of truly tropical Vietnam
 
Itinerary in Details:
 
Day 1: Ho Chi Minh - Mekong Delta – Can Tho (B, L)
8:00 AM Pick up at hotel, transfer to My tho, the first bustling town of the Mekong Delta. This trip provides a look at a wide variety of the life and scenery on Vietnam River from the peaceful Delta. The huge ships, which come from many different countries moving slowly, quietly along the river is what you will see at the Saigon River. Do not miss this sight! On the way you will see daily activities of local people along the river sellers and buyers bargaining, exchanging fish, the products that they got from their working on the sea. From My Tho, you will ride on a local motor boat around Dragon Island, Unicorn Island, Phoenix Island, Turtle Island and stop at the famous Unicorn Island. While at the Unicorn Island, you will take a short trek and go for a rowing boat trip. You will also enjoy lunch, tropical fruit and free time  bike ride in the rural village.
From there, you will continue your motor boat trip to Ben Tre province to visit a handmade coconut candy workshop. Then transfer to a small motor boat and travel along the lush, green canals that are so beautiful for photography. Continue to Can tho, check in, relax. Overnight at the hotel in Can Tho.
 
Day 2: Can Tho - Cai Rang - Rach Gia  - Phu Quoc Island ( B )
Rising early to the sounds of the Delta coming to life for another day, we breakfast and start our trip with a boat cruise on sparking streams along the endless waterway of Mighty Mekong River to Cairang  floating markets. There will be hundreds of boats loaded with fruits, vegetables and fish jostling for trade. Sellers advertisers their wares by crying out across the waters. We visit the lush orchards and are treated to a delicious tropical fruits. Then drive to RachGia for 2,5 hour boat trip which leaves Rach gia at 1:00 PM to Phu Quoc Island. Met upon your arrival, transfer to hotel in Phu Quoc, check in, relax.
 
Day 3: Phu Quoc island ( B )
Phu Quoc Island is famous for the quality of locally produced pepper and matelote.  Today is free at leisure.  You can now relax on the beach, visit to Duong Dong, the capital of Phu Quoc or explore national park.
 
Day 4: Phu Quoc island  ( B )
Today is free. You can snorkel, swim, relax on deserted beaches and enjoy the best seafood. Overnight at hotel or resort .
 
Day 5: Phu Quoc Island - Ho Chi Minh City ( B )
Free until  transfer  to the airport for  flight back  Ho CHi Minh city. Pick up at Tan Son Nhat airport, transfer to your hotel in city (Hotel not include) end of tour. Thank you for travelling with Asia View Travel.
