How to crossing border to Laos?

From Hanoi the daily bus to Vientiane , passing Cau Treo border. Takes about 20 hours and departs everyday at 7 PM..
There is a border crossing into Laos in Ha Tinh (Cau Treo Border). You can catch the bus from HN to Ha Tinh easily (340km) and then go to Cau Treo border by bus (120km).

From border to vientiane distance about 200km.
From Hue or Danang, you can take the bus to Xavanakhet crossing Lao Bao border gate. You should have visa in advance , can not get visa at the border. Visa on arrival just available at the airport. Good trip to you.
